Overview

Smart Templates automate and customize guest messages using "If-When" logic to define message triggers and timing. This paired with AI capabilities enhances standard templated messages. HostBuddy aims to advance templated messages to drive better rapport with guests and contextual awareness.

Creating a Smart Template

Navigate to the Messaging section. Here, you can add a new template or edit an existing one.

Setting Timing

The When options determine the timing for message activation. You can control message timing based on specific dates and times relative to check-in and check-out. Additionally, it can be adjusted for various scenarios such as new bookings, cancellations, time of year, weeks, days, or events like cleaning completion (Turno Integration) or noise level breaches (Minut Integration).

Setting Conditions

Under the If settings, target guests based on various criteria. These criteria include things like guest sentiment, booking status, stay dates, and guest count.

Write Your Own Templated Message

Create a personalized templated message to be sent to a guest. Use our custom variables to tailor the message to fit your needs.

Adding Additional AI Functionality

Enable AI Context Checking to prevent sending redundant messages. AI Personalization tailors messages based on past guest conversations.
