Overview
HostBuddy will generate an "action item" if it encounters an issue that it cannot handle, or if it detects a matter that requires your attention. This helps allow hosts to stay in the loop without having to review every message that HostBuddy is involved in.
Action items are tagged by category, such as cleanliness, maintenance, reservation changes, or guest requests. Set up notifications to have these delivered to you in real time via SMS, WhatsApp, Slack or email.
Viewing and filtering action items
To view the action items that have been generated from your conversations, navigate to the "Action Items" tab.
Filter tasks by category, status, or property using the drop downs at the top of the Action Items page. If no tasks match your selected filters, broaden your search criteria by selecting different categories or "All Properties."
Filtering by status
To view incomplete tasks, select Incomplete
from the status dropdown.
This displays all pending tasks.
To view completed tasks, select Completed
from the status dropdown.
This shows all finished tasks.
Filtering by category
Select a specific category from the Category
dropdown to filter tasks by category.
For example, select Cleanliness
to view only cleaning-related tasks.
Filtering by property
Click the Property Filter
dropdown.
Select one or more properties. The Action Items list updates to display tasks associated with your selected properties.
Notifications Tip
Within the Settings section of your HostBuddy dashboard, you can generate notifications from action items. These can be sent to you and others via SMS, WhatsApp, Email and Slack!
