HostBuddy currently supports only one connected WhatsApp number at a time. If you manage multiple Airbnb accounts with different numbers, you’ll need to choose one phone number to link with HostBuddy. A good workaround is to direct guests from all accounts to that single WhatsApp number—this can be communicated clearly in your message templates or automated replies
You can communicate with non-guests if they initiate a message to your connected WhatsApp number. These messages will show up in your HostBuddy inbox labeled with their WhatsApp name. However, since these messages are not tied to a reservation, HostBuddy cannot send automated replies or initiate new conversations with them. This functionality is under active development, and improvements are expected soon.
HostBuddy will default to replying on the same channel a message was received from. That means if a guest messages you via WhatsApp, the response will go out via WhatsApp; if they message you through an OTA, HostBuddy replies there.
While HostBuddy does not currently support configurable logic for “channel preference,” the system will allow you to manually match unknown numbers to reservations, which helps maintain continuity across platforms.
