Managing Airbnb Message Sender in Hospitable

Overview

Hospitable’s Sender Selection feature allows you to decide exactly which host or co-host profile sends HostBuddy messages through Hospitable and AirBnb. By setting defaults and overrides, you maintain full control over sender identity at both the property and conversation level.

Benefits and Use Cases

This feature improves professionalism, consistency, and clarity by ensuring messages always come from the right host. It is especially valuable for co-hosts managing properties for owners, property management companies with multiple team members, and hosts assigning different profiles to different properties. Guests benefit from a seamless experience by interacting with the correct host from the start.

Steps

Property-Level Default Sender

  1. Go to Properties → Property Setup → Resources → Message Sender (AirBnb) under PMS Integration.

  2. The drop down will default to “Listing Owner (Default).”

  3. Select any co-host on your account to make them the default sender for all conversations on that property.

All available sender options are pulled directly from your Hospitable account, so you will see the same profiles you normally work with.

If a certain host/co-host/company profile is missing from the options in HostBuddy, please contact Hospitable Support. This issue usually means the co-host account has been disconnected from the PMS, which also prevents it from being delivered through HostBuddy.

Reservation-Level Sender Override

  1. Open any reservation in the Inbox.

  2. Next to the Send button, click Default Sender.

  3. The drop down will show “Default Sender” (current property-level setting).

  4. Select a different sender for this conversation (if needed).
