Overview
Connect HostBuddy to applications like Zapier using webhooks to automate action item data transfer between your systems in real-time.
Zapier Webhook Setup
Create Zapier Webhook Trigger
Establish a data pipeline from HostBuddy to your applications by creating a webhook trigger in Zapier. This trigger will capture data from HostBuddy action items for automation. Create a new Zap in Zapier. Select 'Webhooks by Zapier' as the trigger application and 'Catch Hook' as the trigger event. Click 'Continue', leaving the child key field blank. Zapier will provide a unique webhook URL. Copy this URL to direct data from HostBuddy.
Zapier Child Key
Leave the 'Child Key' field blank when setting up the webhook trigger to ensure the connection functions correctly.
HostBuddy Webhook Configuration
Add Webhook in HostBuddy
Configure HostBuddy to send data to the Zapier webhook URL. Access 'Settings' in HostBuddy, navigate to 'Integrations', then 'Webhooks'. Click '+ Add Webhook'. Enter a descriptive name for the webhook. Paste the Zapier webhook URL into the 'Endpoint' field. Save the configuration to activate the data flow.
Connection Testing
HostBuddy Action Items
Verify that HostBuddy sends data to Zapier by waiting for an action item to generate and confirming receipt. Return to Zapier and click 'Test trigger'. Select the new record containing your HostBuddy data. Click 'Continue with selected record' to proceed with the data.
App Integration
