Overview
Chaser is a Slack-native task management tool that helps teams stay organized, accountable, and on track without leaving Slack. When connected to HostBuddy, Chaser automatically turns HostBuddy Action Items into Chaser tasks in Slack so the team can manage follow-ups and work in one place.
This guide focuses on how to set up Chaser with HostBuddy and manage tasks efficiently.
1. Add Chaser to Slack
Add Chaser to your Slack workspace using this link.
Type /chaser get-hostbuddy-webhook-link in the channel where you want to receive the Action Items/ Tasks.
A pop-up will appear with a webhook link that you can copy in HostBuddy.
2. Add Chaser to HostBuddy AI
Go to Settings > Integrations in HostBuddy, then add Chaser using the webhook link from Slack.
Go to Settings > Notifications in HostBuddy, then add Chaser using the webhook link from Slack. Set the notification trigger to Immediate.
3. Start Receiving and Managing Tasks within Slack
Once setup is complete, HostBuddy Action Items will automatically appear in Slack as Chaser tasks.
You can manage tasks directly in Slack by editing, reassigning, adding due dates or times, and setting reminders.
Alternatively, tasks can also be managed using the Chaser dashboard for a full overview.
That's it! Chaser is now connected and ready to help manage HostBuddy Action Items efficiently.
